Relax…..Go To It

All too often, folks like me with ADD tend to forget to slow down, take a break and relax. Typical for ADD, we are a people who are hyperactive and are full of energy, drive and determination. That’s great stuff once you learn to harness it.

However, when we don’t slow down and relax, things can go wrong. We must learn to identify when we are doing too much and flick that internal off switch. I tend to go-go-go until I get tired and run down. Once I start feeling that way, other things in my life will be impacted like my energy for work, kids and self. I don’t work out as much as I need to and I’ll eat on the fly with quick and easy meals, instead of a well balanced and nutritious meals.

Learn to identify when you need to slow down. Understand what the negative impacts are in your life when you do too much and most importantly, relax. On that note, this is my last blog for a couple weeks…….I’m off now on vacation to relax!!

By the way, the title of this Blog is a shameless rip off of the 80’s classic Relax, by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, just incase any music fans caught that and were wondering :)
