I have often wished that I had a physical challenge like diabetes instead of a "mental" one. At least with a physical challenge you are less likely to labeled as lazy, stupid, incapable, or lying.

The media vilifies Ritalin (which has been a Godsend for me) and in the classroom the "trouble" kid is often immediately teacher-diagnosed with ADD/ADHD followed by the inevitable sigh, then the eye rolls, and finally the exasperated "not another one!".

I applaud your efforts to exemplify the positives! In the face of the negativity and misinformation I often forget about the positives of having ADD.
