Outdoors and Out of Reach, Studying the Brain

I received a very interesting article that was just done in the New York Times. It’s about studying what happens when we leave behind our devices on a vacation (cell, Blackberry, iPhone) and give our brains a break from them. An interesting read on how attention, memory and learning are affected.

It was a primitive trip with a sophisticated goal: to understand how heavy use of digital devices and other technology changes how we think and behave, and how a retreat into nature might reverse those effects.”
