Thanks so much for featuring my business Jeff. Glad you can appreciate a clean desk like I do. I'm right there with you. Messy desk=messy brain=low productivity so I too try to keep it spotless. Love the work you are doing.

Pretty interesting graphic based on the timeline structure, presenting the stages our brain goes through. I should have seen it earlier, so I would probably use my most powerful stage, when I was about 22, for more creative works than I did:( Now I am pretty much at the very last year of my peak, but if we maintain healthy way of life, it means that we are going to preserve its capacity as much as possible. Great post!

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation For ADD is a fantastic Presentation. I completely agree that TMS is a fresh and not broadly accepted medical brain procedure. The information and treatment of TMS is informative and modern treatment system. I highly appreciate the mental treatment system through TMS. I think the people who are form suffering Depression will get real information and treatment from the post. Thank Mr. Hamilton for the Post.

OMG, I can't stop laughing!! Now, knowing myself and my lack of filter, the next time I see my vet, I am going to have to ask him about the criteria for ADHD in mice. Do vets have their version of the DSM IV?

And, my question - where did they get the teeny tiny little cell phones for the mama mice to use? Did they just phone other mice, or did they text too? Did the Mama mice who had cell phones start to wear make-up and hair spray their fur and think they were all that and a bag of chips? So maybe the results were due to chemical exposure in the mice make-up and hairspray, and only incidentally due to the cell phone radiation? Is it possible that the "Cell phone mamas"(CPM's) had better access to party information, and so developed a different lifestyle then the traditional mice? More access to alcohol and mice recreational drugs? Perhaps they started smoking? Started drinking more coffee in the morning to make up for lack of sleep due to late nights partying? Had poorer nutrition after spending their disposable income (what do you get paid to be a lab mouse, anyway?) on new party clothes, alcohol and cigarettes? And with their new lifestyles, did they choose to bottle feed mouse formula instead of breast feeding their little litters? And is it possible that the change in lifestyle led to some premature little mousekateers, which is indeed linked to ADHD (at least in humans?)

Clearly there are a lot of possible confounding factors in this reasearch.

Also, just as clearly, my meds have completely worn off, and I should stop typing now. (My husband is nodding vigorously to this last sentence!)

Well, there were several sources/studies that Alvina read suggesting mercury has been linked to ADHD. But here are two specific links :

Sources, please? What source are you using for your assertion on mercury accumulation as the cause of hyperactivity?

So you have Attention DISTRACTION Disorder as I saw someone once wrote. A lot of this is all in your head. Your perception or fear or sensitivity. YOUR REALITY..You put a different spin on things sometimes...Just tell people what they NEED to Know. I have ADD and run a Recruiting Business (Headhunter), so I know the HR rigamorole. Stuff stays on the net forever anyway. If things don't work out in a job or relationship, sometimes they were not meant to be....I too stopped medication. Trying just caffeine from coffee/tea & tryptophan. Meditation to my needs helps. I would never pay for so much they are out to market. I just glean what I need. You are doing fine..I wish I were at your level of organization. Guess do things enough times and it becomes a habit. The synapses in our brains change. This you have done so well...Life is a series of Becoming. Right Grasshopper? There is no wrong Decision. Some are more right than others. But that is in hindsight. Try not to dwell and move along. Your blog is helpful. You transfer wisdom and knowledge.

Thnx for the warning. It probably isn't even personal, just risk avoidance. Might be a wage thing as well. It is though, I wish you luck and hope someone in your personal network can help you out! As to ending your Blog: I for one would be sorry to see it go.

Yeah - what he said! GREAT post, Jeff! And so right on! We all have different "flavors" of ADD, so what we need to do to compensate and accommodate will certainly be different, but the pedal meets the metal when it comes to actually DO-ing what we know we need to do. I'd love to hear about your path from "fly-by" to organized and intentional. Any chance you could do a couple of posts about the steps in between?
